Spence Willard Article
A huge thank you to the team at Spence Willard for featuring us in their latest magazine.
This summer we were featured in the Spence Willard magazine, shot by the talented Natalie Silvester.
Early morning before we opened, we set up shot and Natalie did her thing. Capturing the shop and all our products beautifully, the finished article was featured as part of Spence Willards focus on Island businesses. Sitting alongside new and established businesses, all with beautiful photography and generous write ups, it was a real honour.
The magazine flew off the shelves here but you can still view it online. A huge thank you to Emma, Natalie and everyone involved.
Summer at SALT
Last month we hopped over a little fence on the beautiful Isle of Wight and found ourselves in this field of dreams. Covered in ox eye daisies, buttercups, heathers and grasses, golden hour was fast approaching as we set up some idyllic scenes to celebrate late spring and summer.

Using a rug on the grass, we piled our beautiful Madam Stoltz mattresses up high for a comfortable summer picnic. Made of cotton and reversible, the mattresses can be used on the ground, as a bench or sofa topper or laid out on an outdoor seat. We have a range of summer colours in florals and stripes.
With a recycled cotton Bloomingville throw, in case it gets a bit chilly, or to throw on the floor for more seating space if extras come, plus a house bucket to carry it all in. Made on the Island by local creative Alison, the house buckets use recycled sail cloth and are the perfect multi use item - toys, blankets, hair dryers and straighteners, even champagne and glasses for a picnic! Painted in Farrow and Ball colours you can contact us to request a custom colour.
We added rattan trays for drinks and vases, plus in season cherries, peaches, Isle of Wight tomatoes and delicious bread from our local bakery. Crow Canyon splatter enamel dishes were the perfect dish to serve everything in.
Our 100% cotton striped tablecloths paired with hand blown glasses from British Colour Standard, rattan bottle holders and recycled wooden breadboards set the scene for outdoor summer dining. A striped jug full of amazing local blooms by Jenny at Petals Flower Fields give it that perfect pop! We have fresh posies from Jenny every weekend so pop down if you are local.
A floral wicker market basket and SALT candle hand poured in Cowes, elevate the setting making it really something special. Add your favourite wine or our ginger and lime spritz recipe and a slice of delicious cake!
Summer weather isn’t always sunshine and daisies! Harth hot chocolate is perfect whatever the weather - stir slowly on the stove and transport to a beautiful daisy field. Add a recycled cotton blanket to keep the chill at bay and a quilted cushion for extra comfort. We love our new Fog Linen Works trays made with linen fabric and coated - add a mug and good book from our selection in store and you have all the ingredients for a beautiful summer evening whatever the weather.
These photos are taken by the incredibly talented Holly Jolliffe. Holly takes beautiful photos of homes, gardens, food and products as well as these dreamy location shots. Thank you for capturing these shots.
